I design these writing boxes and bags to encourage important personal, political or diplomatic communication by increasing the sense of occasion associated with hand-writing letters and by putting writers into an appropriate frame of mind.

They are intended to be functional, intriguing and precious.  Each is a “one-off” made predominantly from metal, wood and leather using a combination of hand and machine tools.  The stationery is decorated with an abstract image created in the course of hand-cutting a groove into the box. Each image is unique to each box.
